Announcement 4/7/2020
The state of New Mexico and APS have instructed all schools to have classes continue instruction starting on April 13th.
Quarantine and social distancing recommendations have not changed at this time, as such classes will not be held in person.
Under the guidance of the New Mexico Public Education Department and APS we are providing options for every student, regardless of access to the internet. We are making calls home to the phone numbers we have on file, we are collecting contact numbers to add parents and students to our school wide Remind app, and updating addresses as necessary to assure information requested by mail can reach you.
While there are options for completing classwork without an internet connection, access to the internet can be helpful in getting information about each of your classes more easily. Xfinity hotspots throughout Albuquerque are currently free for everyone with an internet capable device.
If you need a device to connect to the internet, Chromebooks can be checked out at the school. As the school is not currently open to the public, please contact our school ahead of time for an appropriate time to check out a Chromebook. The school's phone number is 505-764-5500, you can also contact our school by email at [email protected].
Beginning April 13th classwork will be available online and in printed packets for pick-up or delivery. Below are the steps to take if you have internet access and if you do not have internet access.

Beginning April 13th classwork will be available online and in printed packets for pick-up or delivery. Below are the steps to take if you have internet access and if you do not have internet access.
If you have internet access:
- Check your student email accounts regularly (these are the email accounts that are your first name & last name @ladecharter.org). * If you have access to email, but cannot access your student email account, please email [email protected] to get your account information.
- On Monday, April 13th check your teachers' class pages (and check back regularly).
- Download the Remind app, and connect with classes you have that are using it. You can add classes by clicking the links posted on your teachers' class sites.
If you do not have access to internet:
- On Monday, April 13th pick up packets from the school between 8:00 and 9:00 AM or between 5:00 and 6:00 PM. These pick ups will be grab and go, we are still not allowing gatherings, per state and local directions.
- If you have a cell phone, you can keep up-to-date with important information through the Remind app. Make sure Ms. Ruth Sedillo has an appropriate phone number (*Your phone number is not shared with your teachers. the Remind app allows students, parents, and teachers to communicate without sharing personal contact information).
- Be sure that Ms. Ruth Sedillo has your current address.
